Aliph Jawbone Black Bluetooth Headset (Bulk Pack)
Jawbone is the world’s first adaptive Bluetooth headset for mobile phones. Its revolutionary Noise Shield technology combines the latest innovations in acoustics, audio processing and product design to produce a quantum leap in headset performance.
Designed by the renowned Yves Behar, Jawbone takes mobile style to new heights. Jawbone's perforated shield curves to match the outline of your face while the inside surface is made from medical grade plastic to provide a soft and smooth feel on the skin. Jawbone can be worn on either ear, and you can customize your fit by choosing an earloop and earbud from the several shapes and sizes provided. Jawbone's ergonomic design enhances acoustic performance and keeps the device lightweight, stable, and comfortable.
Not only does the Jawbone technology virtually eliminate all background noise from your call, but as your background changes it also seamlessly adjusts the speaker output so you can hear your caller’s voice better. Jawbone’s intelligent system of sensors, software, and ergonomic features allows you to use your mobile phone in any environment without shouting or straining to hear. The result is a clear, uninterrupted, and productive conversation.
Jawbone identifies your speech: A proprietary voice activity sensor identifies precisely when you are speaking, in any noise environment. Unlike other headsets, Jawbone can easily separate your speech from other sound nearby.
Jawbone eliminates noise: Jawbone uses highly directional microphones and powerful signal processing algorithms to remove background noise from your ongoing speech signal. This allows you to be heard clearly in any environment without the need to shout and disturb others around you.
Jawbone automatically enhances incoming audio: The volume and frequency content of the incoming speech is dynamically adjusted to maximize intelligibility in any noise environment. No matter where you are, Jawbone will adapt to your environment.

I've owned 7 bluetooth devices. The current is the Jawbone original. My business is totaly reliant on cellular telephone communication. The Jawbone is without a shadow of a doubt the WORST device I have ever owned. The technology is good, but the design is absolutley terrible. If the VAS doesn't touch your face at all times.... you're dead in the call. They tell you to adjust the ear loops.. don't bother. My advice is RUN LIKE A SCALDED DOG from any Aliph product.

In my opinion, sound quality is the best of the many Bluetooth Headsets I've owned. I can actually hear every word! No volume control, but it always seems to be loud enough, even in the noisiest environments. The wire ear loops are TERRIBLE! But this Jawbone is 100 X's BETTER than the Jawbone2! I've had the new one and sound quality is POOR! It sounds like I'm listening through a set of blown out speakers with so much voice distortion, I often times have to ask, say again? Ear hoop is WORSE THAN EVER. I spend more time trying to fish it out of that impossible crack between the seat and center console because it keeps falling off. It hangs loose, and I have to walk as if I'm balancing a set of books on my head to keep it in place. I prefer the old one between the two.

I have used this earpiece for at least 6-7 months. It does work as advertised for noise reduction. You can use it sitting next to a running Hoover vacuum cleaner. As for its ergonomics; yes it is poorly designed. The ear loops are terrible as are the earpieces provided. The earpiece is never quite comfortable or secure. If you put the earpiece in your pants pocket, the ear loop will break, and in my case the ear loop also broke apart the earpiece itself. The charger should be detached as instructed or it may pull the earpiece apart. You CAN obtain new ear loops, ear inserts and chargers from the Aliph website. I had no trouble doing this. If your Jawbone breaks, contact their warranty department. They sent me a brand new one (you need to send in the broken one or they will charge you), before I had returned the broken one. Overall, I am ambivalent about Jawbone I, but may consider Jawbone 2

This unit sounds great, good noise cancellation, and body is sturdy of construction. The problem lies with the ear loop design.....worst ever! Unit hangs loose, weighs a ton, and constantly needs readjustment by user. Customer service would not take it back..... ''oh well'', attitude is what I got from them. They are dumping this original design and selling the new improved version for more bucks....goodbye ALIPH!!! jackielee
